Ph.D candidate in Economics

I am a 6th year PhD Candidate of Economics at American University, Washington DC. I am a macroeconomist with research areas in Development Economics, International Finance, and Capital Markets Modeling and analysis. My dissertation research investigates the role of political risk insurance and foreign exchange derivatives as de-risking solutions used by multinational corporations to hedge against political uncertainty and foreign exchange rate exposure. It also assesses the role of absorptive capacity in enabling foreign direct investments to promote economic growth.

Before joining the PhD program, I worked extensively in governments and private sector, conducting macroeconomic analysis, designing and implementing policy proposals aimed at enhancing economic growth and alleviating poverty.
